With 15 years experience in Executive Search and Recruitment, Erik has earned a reputation with clients for his knowledge of specialized sectors and for his broad international networks and contacts amongst the best talent. He has been recognized for his ability to locate, attract, and assess talent and has significant experience leading multiple-position recruitment assignments for complex international infrastructure projects.

Erik worked with a leading recruitment firm in the hospitality sector, where he rose quickly to become the youngest recruiter with the highest dollar volume of completed assignments. In 2004, he joined The Bedford Consulting Group where he developed a 12 year career solidifying a strong brand in retained executive recruitment, executing annually over 20 permanent assignments. Erik’s latest venture, Buckland Resources, enables him to capitalize on his recruitment experience in Canada and Internationally to service his clients without the limits associated with larger firms.

Erik is a graduate of Sheridan College in Toronto and he completed the AESC (Association of Executive Search Consultants) Certification program to become a Certified Research Associate . He is recognized as a “Certified LinkedIn Recruiter”. In his spare time, he completed 5 major world marathons in Boston, New York, Chicago, London and Berlin since 2011.

David brings over 20 years of diverse, practical experience in business development, human resources and operations to his role as Partner at Buckland + Rempel where he manages senior search assignments for technical, executive and board leadership.

Prior to co-founding Buckland + Rempel, David built and led high-performing recruitment teams for Hatch, SNC Lavalin and Tetra Tech that focused heavily on developing professional, proactive search methodologies and robust talent pipelines in mining hubs across the world. In so doing, he helped these firms manage the greatest growth periods in their respective histories.

As a result of his client-focused approach, in-depth knowledge of the mining & metals industry, and ability to constructively identify, engage and present blue-chip candidates, David has earned the trust of his clients who rely on him to to help ensure the competitiveness and bottom-line performance of their businesses. Through equal measures of vision, creativity, leadership, and focus, and a determined pursuit to evolve the conventional recruitment model, he has consistently driven transformative results for his clients and employers alike.

Russ Buckland

Russ was the Founder of Bedford Resources, Bedford Groups’ specialty practice for clients in Resources, Energy and Infrastructure. Russ is regarded as one of the leading experts in executive search for the global mining industry having managed over 2,000 executive search and recruitment assignments over the past 25 years for many clients globally.

His work includes numerous assignments for Board and C-Suite executives, senior operations management and functional specialists. Russ’ early career was with major resource, construction and mining firms including Ontario Hydro and Bechtel in Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland-Labrador, and with Falconbridge Ltd. in Sudbury, Ontario.

He served as Vice President Human Resources with The Canada Development Corporation in Toronto and was Vice President of Saint John Shipbuilding in the build of the Canada Frigate Program.

Gord Graham has worked in the domestic and international mining and minerals industry for almost 30 year.

Gord has lead project build and mine operations in jurisdictions high in the Andes in Chile to the permanently frozen grounds of Northern Canada. Upon his success leading the construction and operation of two underground Diamond Mines in Northern Canada, Gord assumed responsibility for large elements of a multi billion dollar project in Western Canada where he enjoyed a 5 year career.  In 2014, Gord became Senior Vice President and C.O.O of one of North Americas leading contract mining companies where he lead the delivery of complex shaft sinking and raise boring projects, to full mine development.  Gord currently resides in Saskatoon and gives back to the community as the V.P Academics at a Saskatchewan post secondary Technology Institute and with senior  involvement in a number of local not for profit ventures.

Her background includes 40+ years global experience working and living in all the North African countries and several South American countries; all the European capitals including many satellite cities, most of North American cities, and the major cities in Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Her core competencies include fluency in English, French, Spanish and Italian which provide Buckland + Rempel a competitive advantage over most firms that cannot assess linguistic abilities.
